1/16/18
It became Day 16 on our flight back to JFK. Again, Avianca fed us dinner and drinks. I slept for most of that flight. Upon arriving at JFK, we had to get through customs, collect our luggage, and find our driver who would take us back to Stockton. The day we got back was the first day of the spring semester. We sat in the campus center at Stockton with all of our luggage and souvenirs, hoping no one would see us.
Travelling to Ecuador was an experience I'll never forget. I never thought I'd be brave enough to leave the country for 16 days without my family. I am so glad I did it though. It certainly helped that we had a wonderful group of students travelling with us. I made forever-friends on this trip. We learned a lot, we saw a lot, and we talked about poop a lot. I will definitely be visiting Ecuador again, hopefully someday soon.
